Next generation leadership: Cameron Petrie steps up as General Manager at Prime Fluid Management

The reins are changing hands at Prime Fluid Management, with Cameron Petrie stepping into the role of General Manager - the youngest of three brothers now leading the business founded by their father, Allen Petrie. As Allen transitions into an advisory role as Managing Director, the next generation is setting its sights firmly on growth, innovation, and future-proofing the business for the industries it serves.

Cameron’s appointment marks a pivotal moment for Prime Fluid Management, which has evolved from a pump supplier into a solutions-focused partner across civil construction, mining, industrial, and agricultural sectors. Having led major systems upgrades as Commercial Manager, Cameron brings a sharp focus on data, finance, and operational efficiency.

“It’s crucial to have a good flow of information so we can get things done efficiently and ultimately faster for the customer,” says Cameron. “We’re not selling a product - we’re selling a solution.”

Across civil construction, infrastructure, agriculture, extractives, and industrial sectors, Prime Fluid Management is helping customers meet today’s fluid transfer and discharge challenges while preparing for tomorrow.  With a dedicated R&D team, strong investment in staff, and a culture of trust and transparency, the company is building resilience - not just in its own operations, but in the lives and livelihoods of its customers and communities.

“We think creatively and aim to present the most efficient way of doing things which means thinking of the future as well as the immediate needs of a solution,” says Cameron. “Our customers return because they know we’ve got the expertise, knowledge, and resources to help them out.”
