Water Treatment
Mobile, Modular Solutions
Managing site discharge is a critical part of environmental compliance in civil construction and quarrying. Prime Fluid Management delivers mobile water treatment solutions that handle sediment, pH adjustment, and hydrocarbon removal to support safe and compliant operations.
We work closely with your team to understand consent requirements, prepare documentation for pre-approval, and deliver fully commissioned systems ready for use. Each system is built for rapid deployment, with our field teams available for remote or on-site support from setup to completion.
From simple settling tanks to full multi-stage treatment systems with live data reporting, we make compliance easier.

Why Water Treatment Matters in New Zealand
In New Zealand, site discharge must comply with regional council requirements under the Resource Management Act.
Our mobile treatment systems are built for New Zealand conditions and help contractors meet these standards. We provide solutions to manage high sediment loads, elevated pH and hydrocarbon contamination and concrete washout commonly found on construction sites.
By treating water to meet consented limits for turbidity, suspended solids, pH and hydrocarbons, our systems support environmentally responsible operations and help avoid project delays due to non-compliance.
Compact, modular design
Our modular system is scalable, easy to transport, and fast to deploy in any location. They include:
- Compact footprint settling tanks, from baffle tanks to hybrid, and inclined-plate (lamella) clarifiers.
- Automated, proportional chemical dosing to support flocculation, coagulation, and pH correction.
- Concrete washout systems that neutralise and recycle chute washdown water on site.
- Remote water quality monitoring with real-time visibility into turbidity, pH, flow rate, and other key measures.
Our experienced field teams are available for design, setup, and operational support.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. All site discharge must meet your local regional council’s consent conditions under the Resource Management Act. These consents define limits for discharge, turbidity, suspended solids, pH, and hydrocarbons. We help review requirements during the planning stage before deployment.
Our water-quality monitoring units are designed to be installed alongside treatment systems. They continuously measure parameters like pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, flow rate, and contaminants. Data is transmitted via cloud, Wi‑Fi, cellular, satellite, or local datalogger. Alerts can be configured to notify by SMS, email, or in-app messages. We also regularly integrate monitoring into Council SCADA and BMS systems.
Yes. The monitoring units can be fully solar powered long term or wired into site power. Rugged, weatherproof housings ensure reliable operation even in remote locations.
Yes. We offer a range of settling tanks, including simple baffle tanks, hybrid, and incline plate settlement (lamella clarifiers). They are designed for rapid removal of sediment and sludge and include built‑in oil/hydrocarbon separators. Options include standard baffle, or hybrid and inclined plate (lamella) settling tanks, with capacities ranging from 4 m³ to 50 m³ and adjustable inlet/outlet fittings.
Yes. We offer both batch dosing systems and proportional dosing for continuous flow. Depending on site needs, units can be mobile or fixed and can be combined modularly with other treatments for full compliance.
