BBA Pumps are engineered in Holland and chosen for New Zealand projects because they work consistently, efficiently, and with the least environmental impact for their engine type. From civil construction to emergency response, these portable systems offer advanced drive technologies, low emissions, and reliable operation across a wide range of applications. Available through Prime Fluid Management, BBA Pumps brings global innovation to local water management challenges.
BBA Pumps are trusted across New Zealand for critical water movement:
Proven in the field, BBA Pumps have supported projects such as over-pumping the Maitai River to protect Nelson City and providing relocatable infrastructure to strengthen Kaiapoi’s flood resilience.
BBA’s engineering delivers measurable benefits:
BBA diesel units consistently outperform competitors with better fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.

Available open frame or silenced canopy, use BA-series electric pumps indoors or in sensitive urban locations.
Delivering extreme fuel economy, BA Diesel pumps limit emissions by delivering performance at low RPM.
Compact, economical, efficient, BBA PTO Tractor pumps perform vacuum-based tasks on demand, including high-volume fluid and slurry transfer.
A compact pump offering pressures up to 20 bar (290psi), available with Stage V diesel engine. Use in tank cleaning/ wellpoint jetting/ underwater excavation.
The BA400 D540 is a relocatable auto-priming centrifugal pump used for flood control or large-scale emergency response. EPA Tier 4 Volvo Penta diesel engine, 85% efficiency at BEP. Four-year BBA Limited Factory Warranty.
Producing 37psi and with a favourable NPSHr curve, the BA500g D675 flood control pump will discharge water over long distances through extended pipelines. It is suited to dredging, land reclamation and surface-mounted flood control. Four-year BBA Limited Factory Warranty.
The BA600 D743 is ideal for tackling high water during heavy rain events and flooding. It is quiet and features exterior lighting, lifting features and automatic levelling. Efficiency is 88% BEP. Four-year BBA limited factory warranty.
The largest in BBA’s mobile flood control series, the BA700 D810 will shift 7,800m3/hr. Careful attention has been paid to mobility, even at this capacity. Pump efficiency is 85% BEP. Four-year BBA Limited Factory Warranty.
Because they’re designed specifically for temporary pumping, with benefits including: auto-priming, ability to run attended for long periods, low fuel use and long running autonomy, extended service intervals and low noise.
They are available in multiple configurations from silenced to open canopy, and with diesel, hybrid and electric engines.
Hydrogen, battery-electric and other energy sources are ready and waiting for the NZ market.
Yes. BBA BA-series auto-prime pumps are available up to 700mm with flow capacity of 7,800m3/hr and are deployed widely for surface-mounted flood control in Europe and the USA. Even at this size they can be readily relocated. In NZ, two BA500 pumps are in use for flood control in Kaiapoi, Waimakariri. They are fuel-independent, have automated control and quiet operation, and require little in-ground infrastructure to operate.
